My New Favorite Sunday Brunch Spot

Waterfront Grill in Jenks

Some Sunday mornings just call for brunch.

Mike and I finally made it to Waterfront Grill in Jenks this weekend after he’d received a gift card from the owner, whom he’d helped purchase a vehicle. We’d talked about trying it for a while, and it turned out to be one of those places where we were already planning our next visit before we even left.

If you’re looking for a relaxed Sunday brunch with river views, generous portions, and prices that won’t make your wallet cringe, I think Waterfront Grill deserves a spot on your list.

A Local Restaurant with River Views

One thing I always enjoy highlighting is locally owned businesses, and Waterfront Grill checks that box. The restaurant is owned by the same Oklahoma family behind Los Cabos Mexican Grill and has been welcoming guests to RiverWalk Crossing in Jenks since 2011. It was even recognized as the Oklahoma Restaurant Association’s “Hottest New Concept” shortly after opening.

Located at RiverWalk Crossing, just steps from the Oklahoma Aquarium and overlooking the Arkansas River, it’s the kind of place where you can easily turn brunch into a relaxing morning. After eating, you can take a stroll along the river, visit the aquarium, or simply enjoy the patio views.

The Atmosphere

The first thing that stood out to me was how relaxed everything felt.

We chose to eat inside, but the covered patio overlooking the river was beautiful. Blue umbrellas, comfortable seating, and a view of the Arkansas River made it feel like a mini getaway without ever leaving the Tulsa area.

It has that rare combination of being casual enough for Sunday brunch but still feeling like you’re treating yourself.

The Brunch

Weekend brunch is clearly something Waterfront Grill takes seriously.

They offer:

  • A made-to-order six egg omelet bar with more than 20 fresh ingredients
  • A build-your-own Bloody Mary bar
  • Fresh $3.50 mimosas
  • $6.50 Manmosas
  • A full brunch menu with everything from Eggs Benedict and shrimp & grits to pancakes, chicken & waffles, and huevos rancheros.

My Omelet

I headed straight for the omelet bar.

Let’s just say…I didn’t hold back.

Mine was loaded with: bacon, ham, spinach, mushrooms, jalapeños, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheddar, pepper jack and feta. Then I topped it with fresh avocado and salsa.

It was fantastic.

Honestly, it was almost more vegetables than eggs, which is exactly how I like an omelet. The portion was so generous that I brought half of it home, and tomorrow’s breakfast is already taken care of.

Mike’s Breakfast

Mike went with the Waterfront Breakfast.

It came with three eggs, bacon, skillet cottage potatoes, and toast, exactly what you’d expect from a classic breakfast. What surprised us were the little extras that weren’t listed on the menu, a slice of fresh melon and a chocolate-covered strawberry.

It’s a small detail, but touches like that make a meal feel just a little more special.

The Biggest Surprise

What surprised me most wasn’t the food.

It was the value.

When you hear “waterfront restaurant,” it’s easy to assume you’re paying a premium for the location.

That wasn’t our experience at all.

Between the river views, the atmosphere, the omelet bar, and my $3.50 mimosa, brunch ended up costing about what we’d expect to spend at many casual breakfast restaurants.

That’s something I genuinely didn’t expect.

Would We Go Back?

Absolutely.

In fact, before we even left, Mike and I were already talking about bringing the family here for Sunday brunch.

It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for catching up with friends, celebrating birthdays, meeting family after church, or simply slowing down for a couple of hours on the weekend.
